Friday, March 17 at 6 pm –  Everyone is invited to a Shabbat service and festive celebration honoring Rabbi Vogel. Our evening program will begin at 6 pm with wine and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a Shabbat service at 7:30 featuring the warm words of friends and congregants celebrating Rabbi Vogel’s 18 years at Temple Sinai. The evening will conclude with drinks and dessert at 9 pm in Ehrenfried Hall. An evening to remember!

Sunday, March 19, 9:30 am – 12:45 pm – Everyone is invited to the Sanctuary for a Havdalah service at 9:30 followed by an Adult Learning program at 10:15 (Religious School students will return to classrooms). At noon, the entire community will gather for pizza and celebration in the Weintraub Family Community Room to honor 18 years of Rabbi Vogel’s leadership. Join together in song and celebration!

Tribute Book

We encourage you to write a message in the Chai Celebration Tribute Book.  The story of Rabbi Vogel’s 18 years at Temple Sinai is not just the story of a public figure and an institution –  it is a story of vivid particulars, and the individual lives Rabbi Vogel has touched in his 18 years at Temple Sinai.

Your note to Rabbi Vogel may be as brief as you like, or up to 250 words. We also welcome any pictures you may have of you or your family with Rabbi Vogel.

Write your note and upload photos here!

Accessing the form to enter your tribute requires that you have a Gmail account. If you do not have one, please email your tribute and any pictures to Caroline Potter-Ng at cpotter521@gmail.com with the subject “Chai Tribute.”

The deadline for submission is February 15.
