Teaching your child Jewish values is the greatest blessing of all.

Students and their families explore and strengthen their Jewish identities at our Temple Sinai Brookline Religious School. We support innovative Jewish study by teaching students Jewish approaches to social and environmental justice. We engage Jewish tradition through the study of Torah, Hebrew, Jewish holidays and culture, and Tefillah (prayer).

We integrate student-centered, creative approaches to our curriculum through project-based and social-emotional learning. We strive to create an educational environment that is both warm and loving while being rigorous and challenging.

Our students embark on a creative journey to discover what being Jewish means to them.

Come explore Judaism! This interactive drop-off program introduces children to Jewish holidays and practices through arts & crafts, songs, stories, and games.

Grades K-2

Sunday Mornings

Our young children’s programs make Jewish learning fun and engaging. We use music and storytelling, Hebrew through Movement, and creative play to support our students’ learning and growth. We introduce our students to the Hebrew alphabet and begin our exploration of Torah learning. We teach core Jewish values like Chesed (kindness), helping our students develop empathy and care for each other.

Grades 3-7

Sunday A.M. & Tuesday afternoons

Our 3rd-7th grade students deepen their understanding of Judaism, advance their knowledge of Hebrew and Tanakh (Jewish bible) and expand their understanding of Jewish values in their world. We explore new terrain of Jewish learning such as environmental justice in the spirit of empowering our students to realize that they play a vital role in Tikkun Olam, the process of repairing our world. We challenge our students at the same time as we create a warm and loving environment for them to feel nurtured and supported in their Jewish learning.

Grades 8-12

Sinai U - Teen program

Our 8th-12th grade students choose from a variety of programming to pursue a deep and meaningful connection to Judaism and our community. The variety of options we offer enables students to create a unique Jewish learning experience that engages their particular needs and interests. Students may choose to gather for community service projects, advanced learning about Israel, supportive youth groups, and Moving Traditions programming. Our
8th-12th graders also maintain their connection to our religious school by working as Madrichim (teaching guides) and staffing Java Negila, our community café. Check our calendar for details about our August 30th Open House.

Baby Naming

Mazel tov on the birth of your baby! We would be overjoyed to welcome your child into the Jewish covenant at Temple Sinai. Speak to us about holding a baby naming during Shabbat services in our Sanctuary.

Tot Shabbat

For families with children ages 0-5. Monthly on Saturdays, 9:30-10 a.m. Celebrate Shabbat together! Join us in the Sanctuary on Shabbat morning for singing, instruments, movement, and a Torah story.
