Our Journeys Program: Machloket l’Shem Shamayim

April 12 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am EDT

Join us for a special series of religious school programs that explore this year’s theme of Machloket L’Shem Shamayim: disagreement for the sake of heaven. Each program will consider the theme from a different perspective as we engage ideas from how we disagree in community to how we approach difficult conversations. How can we bridge division, whether in our family or in our synagogue?

Created for our religious school families from K’tonton age through 7th grade, our Journeys and B’yachad Havdalah programs are an opportunity for the whole family to participate in Jewish learning. We begin our day together in the sanctuary for B’yachad Havdalah from 9:30am-10:00am, where we join in singing and prayer. From 10:00am, adults learn with Rabbi Vogel and Rabbi Stein and then participate in a myriad of learning activities with their children. It’s a wonderful opportunity to experience our school, to meet other families, and to model Jewish learning as a family.
