8th Grade Curriculum Night and Sinai U Orientation

On Wednesday, Sep. 4th, we will be holding an 8th grade curriculum night and Sinai U orientation in our Weintraub Community Room at Sinai
Brookline.
5:30pm – 6:30pm: 8th grade curriculum overview
6:30pm – 7:00pm: break and pizza dinner
7:00pm – 8:00pm: Sinai U Orientation for families

Teen Fellowship Programs
Three fellowship programs will be available for teens in the fall, winter, and spring of our school year. Our fall fellowship, Performance and Social Change, invites students to enter a brave space and use theater as a way to explore social justice issues in our lives.

The Senior Seminar
Our senior seminar for 12th grade students explores the excitement and the challenges ahead as we transition into young adulthood and leave home.

8th Grade Program
Our new program for 8th grade students meets biweekly on Sunday mornings, embarking on a higher level of learning and engaging in new experiences together, including a trip to NYC.

Religious School Madrichim
Our Madrichim are a vital part of our religious school. Teens grades 8-12 work as teaching assistants in the classroom on Sunday mornings, support the learning of our younger students. Teens can earn volunteer hours for graduation or opt to receive a $500 stipend for their work.

Java Nagila Baristas
Teens grades 8-12 can work as baristas on Sunday mornings at Sinai Brookline’s teen-run Java Nagila cafe. Teens receive an hourly wage as they support our community gathering place. Baristas will also drive a social justice project that they develop together.

The Tent
Sinai Brookline is a proud partner of the Tent program, held at Temple Israel and offering ongoing teen education on Monday evenings.
