Teen Programs

Sinai U, our multifaceted teen program, has many different ways for teens to connect to Temple Sinai and to each other. On our website you’ll find all the information you need about these programs, including dates, contact people, registration, and details. See you soon!

DSCN2183SundayNight On Sinai U Sunday Nights our 7-10th graders delve into challenging and fun Jewish learning. Tracks this year include an a capella group, theater, visual arts, Torah debate & discussion, and yoga/Jewish meditation. Each of the tracks has a serious Jewish learning component, alongside teen-driven creativity. 7th graders are required to come all year, and 8-10th graders are encouraged to attend and can join at any point!  Students will sign up for tracks during program time. Come on September 11th and check out the program!

Ehrenfried Hall opens at 5pm for youth group meetings and games. The formal program runs from 5:30-7:30pm. A light dinner is served at 5:30pm.

Teaching Fellow150

Recognizing the high level of skills and leadership potential in our 11th- 12th graders, these high schoolers can now apply to be Sinai U Teaching Fellows. Teaching Fellows volunteer for at least 8 consecutive Sunday Nights to help lead a track. They meet beforehand with the advisor for that track to plan their leadership and involvement. Please contact Rabbi Shoshana if you are interested in applying for this excellent leadership opportunity.
jfcsTikkun Olam On Tikkun Olam Sundays, teens volunteer at Family Table in Waltham (8:30am-12:30pm, bus provided from Temple Sinai). On Sheirut Sundays (Service Sundays) parents, children, and teens volunteer at a variety of different organizations. Click below the photo for details and to RSVP!
teencenterTeenCenter Temple Sinai and Temple Ohabei Shalom partner with the Brookline Teen Center for monthly NFTY events for our 7th and 8th graders. NFTY678 is the Reform Movement’s middle school youth group. We will also attend the JOSTY Shul-In this year as a group!
Our High School Youth Group is up and running! We are starting the year with an in-depth project partnering with the Brandeis Design Lab. Click here for more information and to register.

Stay tuned for more events, including regional NFTY participation!

DSCN2105 Love working with kids in your community? Become a madrich (guide) and help out regularly in a Hebrew School classroom on Sunday mornings. You can also be a madrich for High Holidays only, or help out the Hebrew School in other ways.

Contact Rabbi Shoshana: I’m here for you. If any of you want to get together for ice cream or cocoa to talk about Sinai U, middle or high school experiences, getting ready for college, or anything else, feel free to e-mail me at
