| Mitzvah Day 2009
Temple Sinai’s 7th annual Mitzvah Day, on March 29th, 2009, was a tremendous success. Many of this year's projects were old favorites, such as preparing meals for the Ronald McDonald House and the Anna Bissonnette House. A terrific new project was making cat toys and bringing them to the MSPCA along with other items the shelter needs.
We also held a collection for Birthday Wishes, a local organization that holds birthday parties for children in homeless shelters. We prepared over 130 goody bags to help these kids enjoy their birthdays.
Mitzvah Day proved again to be a wonderful opportunity to put into practice the Jewish tradition of tikkun olam (repairing the world) - and to have a great time doing it. See below to learn about previous Mitzvah Days. Back |
