Prospective Members Shabbat and morning Torah Study in May 2009

Prospective Members Shabbat service, Friday May 15, 7:30 pm:

Temple Sinai of Brookline invites you to attend services with us and learn more about our Temple and its outstanding religious school.  On Friday, May 15th at 7:30 pm, there will be a Prospective Member Erev Shabbat service.  Members of the community are welcome to join us at this and all of our Friday evening services.  In addition, families with children ages 1-8 are invited to participate in our monthly Tot Shabbat services.  Those services include singing, a brief service, and a Shabbat story.  The next Tot services will take place on Friday evenings May 1st and June 5th at 6:30 pm.

Shabbat Morning Torah Study, May 9th and May 23rd, 9:00 am – 10:15 am:

Twice a month on Shabbat mornings (on the second and fourth Saturday morning each month), Temple Sinai of Brookline invites the community to gather in Rabbi Andy Vogel’s study to discuss the ideas presented by the week’s Torah portion.  We begin with a light breakfast and a bit of singing, and then study the text in English.  Participants need not have any prior study of the Torah or Hebrew knowledge, simply an interest in considering the Torah portion as it relates to our contemporary experiences or those of Jews in previous generations.  All are welcome; there is no fee for participating. Questions?  Call 617.277.5888.
