Free Film Screening of “Darfur Diaries” at Temple Sinai, Brookline, Sunday, February 4th at 2 pm: Temple Sinai invites the community to join us on Sunday, February 4th at 2 pm for a free, public screening of “Darfur Diaries,” about the genocide in the Darfur region of the Sudan, where a combination of the Sudanese Armed Forces and a militia known as the Janjaweed have been conducting a campaign of displacement, starvation, rape, and mass slaughter. The genocide has resulted in the deaths of over 400,000 people and the displacement of two million more, who are now threatened with starvation. This powerful documentary is a collection of interviews describing the genocide by the people affected by it. The screening is sponsored by the Temple Sinai Social Action Committee, and will include an introduction by the Massachusetts Coalition to Save Darfur. Back |
