Temple Sinai’s New Community Action Initiative
With the help of the Greater Boston Synagogue Organizing Project of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), Temple Sinai is embarking on a new community action project for 2011 – 2012. The project will begin with a series of house meetings at which participants will have an opportunity to share personal stories about issues that are important to them. The goal is to formulate an action plan about what we can do as a temple to make positive changes in our community. Learn more about the Sinai Community Action Project!
Public Policy Matters
The Temple Sinai Board of Trustees has formalized the temple’s approach to taking positions on matters of public policy. It requires that any such policy matters meet specific criteria, and that temple members have the opportunity to become fully informed on the issues. Full details are available in the Temple Sinai Policy Endorsement document.
For home, purchase only 100% recycled paper products such as computer paper, toilet paper and paper towels. Plastics made from plants are now available; alternatively, look for the recycle-triangle. Do not buy styrofoam products even if they have a triangle. They are not recyclable in this area.
