Friday erev Shabbat services are usually held at 7:30 PM from September through June. Roughly once per month, a Shabbat@Six service is held for a different community experience.
During the summer, brief, less formal erev Shabbat services are held at 6:15 PM. Our answering machine (617‑277‑5888) and calendar provide specific details about the service for each week. We encourage families to share their life cycle events with us. We frequently include baby namings, conversions, and major anniversaries in the service. Special programs such as concerts and lectures may also occur on Friday nights. An integral part of Shabbat celebration is the reception held downstairs in Ehrenfried Hall immediately after the conclusion of formal worship. Oneg Shabbat means “the enjoyment of Shabbat.” During this time of fellowship, please introduce yourself to people you do not know. Refreshments are provided by members of the congregation.
The temple business office assists lay leaders, volunteers, members, and potential members with needs and questions about temple programs and activities. For more information about temple activities, please call the office at 617-277-5888. If you need to contact the temple office during non-business hours, you can leave a message on our voice mail (617-277-5888) and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
